CHARITIES SUPPORTED BY THE CLUB

Rotary International is a service organisation which basically mean that we try to give of ourselves and our skills, however when that is not possible, for example if the project which needs our assistance is abroad or the skills needed do not fall within our members experience we raise funds and make a donation.

Most years we make a donation to our organisations own charity fund Rotary Foundation which supports numerous projects throughout the world.

In addition we raise funds for Aqua Boxes which provide a supply of tablets which help to make 'bad water' drinkable and fill the boxes with items useful at disaster sites, Tsunamis, earthquakes etc.

Over the club's eighteen years we have made donations to many dozens of charities and groups needing our support both local, national and international.

We are often able to make sure that the funds go to the most deserving people by using the Rotary clubs local to the area of need.
